Effective 15 September 2026
Terms of use
The agreement between the business using Jarlo and the operator of Jarlo. It covers what the service does, what it does not promise, what a plan costs, and how an account can end.
1. Who you are agreeing with
- Operator
- Kode Pundit
- Business type
- Sole proprietorship
- Correspondence address
- Siliguri, West Bengal, India
- Contact email
- contact@kodepundit.com
Creating an account, or continuing to use Jarlo, means accepting these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the service.
2. Who may use Jarlo
- Jarlo is for business use. It is built for a delivery business to keep its own records, not for personal use.
- You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
- You must be entitled to act for the business whose details you enter, and to accept these terms on its behalf.
- An account belongs to one business. You are responsible for everything done through your account.
3. Your account
- Give accurate details when you sign up, and keep them up to date.
- Keep your password to yourself. Anyone who knows your mobile number and password can see and change everything in your account.
- You are responsible for activity carried out through your account, whether or not you carried it out.
- If you think someone else has your password or has reached your account, change your password and tell us at contact@kodepundit.com straight away.
4. What Jarlo does, and what it does not promise
Jarlo is a recordkeeping and workflow tool. It stores what you enter, adds up your deliveries into a monthly bill, helps you send that bill, and shows you what is outstanding.
Jarlo does not promise any of the following.
- That you will be paid. Jarlo records bills and payments. Collecting money from your customers is your business, and Jarlo is not a party to it.
- That a delivery happens. Jarlo records deliveries that you tell it about. It does not dispatch, track or verify anything.
- That your records are correct. Bills are calculated from what you enter. If a delivery, quantity or price is entered wrongly, the bill will be wrong in the same way.
- That the service is always available. See section 14.
- That a WhatsApp message arrives. See section 11.
5. Your customers’ information
You decide what to record about your customers. That makes you responsible for the following.
- Entering customer details lawfully, and only for customers you actually serve or intend to serve.
- Keeping those details accurate and correcting them when a customer asks.
- Having whatever permission is needed for the way you use a customer’s details, including their mobile number.
- Using the WhatsApp messages Jarlo prepares for their intended purpose, which is billing your own customers and reminding them about their own bills. Do not use them for marketing to people who did not ask for it.
- Answering your customers when they ask what you hold about them, or ask you to correct or delete it.
See the privacy policy for how Jarlo handles this information.
6. Acceptable use
Do not use Jarlo to do any of the following.
- Break the law, or help anybody else break it.
- Send messages that are unlawful, abusive, deceptive or unwanted bulk messages.
- Reach an account, a business’s records or any part of the system you are not entitled to reach.
- Pretend to be another person or another business.
- Get around a plan limit, a rate limit or any other restriction, including by creating extra accounts for that purpose.
- Probe, scan or overload the service, upload harmful code, or interfere with anyone else’s use of it.
- Copy, resell or rent out the service.
7. Plans and prices
The plans below are the ones the product offers today. All prices are in Indian rupees.
Jarlo does not currently charge GST. If Jarlo becomes required to charge applicable taxes in the future, pricing and billing disclosures may be updated accordingly.
| Plan | Monthly | Yearly | One-time setup | Customers | Automatic WhatsApp |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | Free | Free | None | 100 | You send bills yourself |
| Pro | ₹299/month | ₹2,990/year | ₹1,499 | 250 | 250 a month |
| Business | ₹699/month | ₹6,990/year | ₹1,499 | Unlimited | 2,000 a month |
Contact import is included on Pro and Business. Products are limited to 20 on Starter and are unlimited on the paid plans.
A yearly plan is a single yearly charge, not twelve monthly ones. Where a one-time setup fee applies, it is charged once with the first payment and is not charged again when the plan renews.
8. Subscriptions and renewal
- Starter is free. No payment, no renewal, nothing to cancel.
- A paid plan is a recurring subscription. A monthly plan is charged every month and a yearly plan every year, until it is cancelled.
- The first payment is the plan price plus the one-time onboarding and setup fee. Both amounts are shown as separate lines before you confirm.
- Renewal is automatic while the subscription is active, using the payment instruction you gave at checkout.
- Moving up a plan is done from the plan screen inside Jarlo.
- If a payment fails, the plan is marked overdue and paid features stop until it is settled. Your records are not deleted.
9. Cancelling, downgrading and refunds
Cancelling
You can cancel at any time. Cancelling stops the next renewal. Your plan stays active for the rest of the period you have already paid for, and the account then continues on Starter.
There is no cancellation button in the product yet. To cancel or to move down a plan, write to contact@kodepundit.com from the mobile number on the account.
Downgrading
- A downgrade takes effect at the next renewal, not immediately.
- No customer or business records are ever deleted because of a downgrade. Everything you have entered stays.
- If the account holds more customers than the new plan allows, existing records are kept and remain visible. Adding new customers, or importing them, is blocked until the account is back within the limit or moves up a plan again.
The onboarding and setup fee
- Fully refundable if you cancel before onboarding work has begun.
- Not refundable once that work has started, except where the law requires otherwise. The work is the thing being paid for, and it has been done.
Onboarding has begun once Kode Pundit starts manual account setup or configuration for you, imports your customers or other data on your behalf, or begins any other setup work for your account.
Monthly plans
- Cancel at any time. Cancelling prevents the next renewal.
- The plan stays available for the rest of the month already paid for.
- A part-used month is not refunded, except for a duplicate or incorrect charge, or where the law requires otherwise.
Annual plans
- Cancel renewal at any time. The plan stays active for the rest of the paid year.
- A first annual subscription can be refunded within 7 days of the payment, provided the account has not been materially used. This applies to a first annual subscription only, not to a renewal.
- The setup fee follows its own rule above.
- A duplicate or incorrect charge is refundable at any time.
An account has been materially used once it holds real operational data. Any one of these counts: a real delivery recorded, a real bill created or sent, or real customer details imported or entered.
How a refund is paid
A refund goes back to the original payment method wherever that is possible. How long it takes to appear is decided by your bank and the payment provider rather than by Jarlo, so no period is promised here.
10. Payments
Where online payment is switched on, subscription payments are handled by Razorpay. You enter your payment details on Razorpay’s own checkout page. Jarlo does not see or store card, bank or UPI credentials, and receives only confirmation of the subscription from Razorpay. Razorpay’s own terms and privacy practices apply to what it does with your payment details.
Where online payment is not switched on, the plan screen says so, and any paid plan is arranged directly with the operator.
Payments your own customers make to you for water are nothing to do with Jarlo. Jarlo only records that you said a payment arrived. Any UPI ID shown on a bill is your own.
11. WhatsApp
Bills go to your customers over WhatsApp in one of two ways. On the manual path, which every plan has, Jarlo prepares the message and opens WhatsApp so that you send it yourself from your own account. On the automatic path, which needs a plan that includes it and has to be switched on by the operator, Jarlo sends the message through Meta’s WhatsApp Business Platform.
- WhatsApp is run by Meta and is not part of Jarlo. Your use of it is subject to Meta’s own terms.
- Delivery of a message is not guaranteed. A number may be wrong, a customer may not use WhatsApp, a message may be blocked, or the provider may be unavailable.
- Opening WhatsApp is not proof that a message was sent. Jarlo records that a send was started, and lets you mark it as not sent.
- You are responsible for the messages that go out under your business name.
12. Ownership
- Jarlo owns the software, its design, and the Jarlo name and logo. Nothing in these terms transfers any of that to you.
- You own your business data: your customers, deliveries, products, bills and payments. Jarlo holds it to provide the service to you.
- You get a limited right to use Jarlo for your own business while your account is active and these terms are being kept. That right is not exclusive and cannot be transferred.
13. Suspension and ending an account
An account may be suspended or closed where any of the following applies.
- These terms are broken, in particular the acceptable use rules in section 6.
- A payment due for a paid plan is not made.
- The account is being used in a way that threatens the security of the service or of other businesses using it.
- The law, or an order under it, requires it.
Wherever it is reasonable to do so, you will be told first and given a chance to put the matter right. Suspension for a security or legal reason may have to be immediate.
You can stop using Jarlo at any time, and can ask for your account and its data to be deleted by writing to contact@kodepundit.com. See the privacy policy for how that request is handled.
14. Availability
Jarlo is provided on an as-is and as-available basis. The aim is to keep it running and working properly, and no uptime figure is promised. The service may be unavailable during maintenance, or because of a fault, or because a provider it depends on is unavailable.
Features may change. A change that removes something you rely on will be communicated rather than made quietly.
Keeping your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose is sensible, whatever the service promises.
15. Limits on liability
Jarlo is a recordkeeping tool sold at a small monthly price. To the extent the law permits, the operator is not liable for money you did not collect, business you did not win, data you entered incorrectly, or any indirect or consequential loss.
Where the operator is found liable despite the above, that liability is limited to the amount you paid for Jarlo in the twelve months before the event that caused the loss.
Nothing here limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited, including liability for fraud.
16. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising from them is subject to the jurisdiction of the courts at Siliguri, West Bengal.
17. Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated. The effective date at the top of this page shows when the current version took effect. A change that materially affects what you pay, what you are responsible for, or what the service does will be brought to your attention before it applies, and continuing to use Jarlo after that means accepting the new version.
Questions about any of this can go to contact@kodepundit.com.
